Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District #109 provides water and wastewater services to the residents of Greatwood Bend, Greatwood Forest Section 2, Greatwood Knoll Sections 1, 2, 3 & 4, Greatwood Glen Sections 1 & 3, and Greatwood Crossing Sections 1, 2, & 3.
The Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District #109 was created by order of the Texas Water Commission (now called the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, or TNRCC) and confirmed by election. The District lies wholly within Fort Bend County, Texas. The District is empowered to construct, operate and maintain all water and wastewater facilities required to service the residents within the boundaries of the District.
The facilities of the District consist of 2 lift stations and miles of distribution and collection lines. Fort Bend County MUD #109 and two other Greatwood Municipal Utility Districts purchase water and sewer services from the Master District, Fort Bend County MUD #106. The four MUDs work together to provide quality services to Greatwood customers.
